Jessica and James | Brookside Farm | Louisville Ohio

A February wedding on a farm in Northeast Ohio can be risky, but Jessica and James had something different in mind.  A Sunday morning service with a brunch afterwards.  The weather was a little chilly but the light and scenery at Brookside Farm was absolutely lovely, as always.  Other awesome vendors who helped make this day Amazing:

Debbie and Brett | Lakeview Park Nautical Beach Wedding | Lorain Ohio

One hundred percent rain.  That was forecast for Debbie and Brett's July 22 wedding.  Rain happens in Ohio.  As wedding photographers we anticipate and plan for it but Debbie and Brett had their heart set on saying their vows on the beach in front of their family and friends, and a torrential downpour during the ceremony would have really thrown a wrench in things.  Thankfully, faulty forecasts also happen in Ohio (frequently) and it ended up being the absolutely perfect day for a Beachside Wedding.  Light clouds throughout the day and then sun emerging in the early evening, giving way to a beautiful sunset.  The reception was beautiful was many personal touches to show their loved ones their love and appreciation.  Scott Foster with His N' Hers Wedding and Party Service lead everyone in the Thriller Dance which was so fun! Thank you Brett and Debbie for allowing us to be a part of your day.  Everything was perfect!

Megan and John | Brookside Farm Wedding | Louisville Ohio

I just loved Megan's style for this vintage inspired wedding at Brookside Farms.  Copper and sage green were the main colors but grays and pastels added romantic touches.  When I found out that Megan brought her vintage couch for sunset pictures, I was thrilled.  We had a gorgeous sunset and they just glowed!  Thankful to share such a beautiful day with the two of them and I'm positive they will have a bright future!

Tara and Kyle | St Joseph's Catholic Church | Occasions Party Center

Beautiful day for a spring wedding!  What I loved the most about this wedding was the vintage touches like Tara's grandparent's cake topper and a great grandmother's garter and wedding day handkerchief to start!  There were ten bridesmaids and ten groomsmen which is a very large group but they were awesome!  They had such a great bond and emotions flowed freely throughout the day.  Beach Boyz Entertainment kept everyone dancing that night at  Occasions Party Center was the perfect ending to a lovely day! Brianne and Drew | Brookside Farms | Rainy Day Wedding

This wedding should show all worried couples that rain doesn't have to put a damper on a beautiful wedding with beautiful pictures!  We had non-stop rain during the Bride and Groom and Bridal party pictures but with a little creativity (and pretty umbrellas), the photographs were a success.  Brookside Farms is always a stunning backdrop and Nikki's Perfect Petal Designs created the gorgeous florals and plants throughout the entire event.  Wonderful wedding to start my 2017 season!

Lindsay and John | Vintage Inspired Engagement Session | Clinton Ohio

When a couple wants to dress up in vintage clothing with hair, makeup and even an authentic classic car, I know we are going to have fun!  Backlit country roads were the backdrop for this dreamy engagement session and we had the most beautiful light we could ask for.  I am so happy to be working with Lindsay and John and cannot wait to see what they plan for their wedding next October!

Dia and John October | Stambaugh Auditorium | Mill Creek Park | Youngstown Wedding | Photographer

I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.  ~Anne of Green Gables

October in Ohio (especially the first half), is the most beautiful time of year in my opinion.   It's true, the sun starts to set a bit earlier and there is a chill in the air, but the light and vivid colors are truly magical.  Dia and John's wedding was a dream to photograph and be a part of.  Not only are they an absolutely gorgeous couple, they are down to earth and kind people.  They were also up for anything and had no problem going to more than one location for photos!  This was my first time at Stambaugh Auditorium which was such a cool venue!  I have to say, I really loved Youngstown!  There were SO many beautiful places to take pictures.  We started at the Rose Garden (with that overlook gah!) and then headed to Mill Creek Park, finally finishing with a few last minute photos at their reception venue, The Avalon, before the sun set.  Every detail and every moment was truly gorgeous!

Abby and Craig | September Peacock Ridge Wedding | Photographer | Akron Ohio

Ohhhhh this wedding!  One word comes to mind...STUNNING.  Abby and Craig wanted a barn wedding that had touches of formality and glamour and just a touch of rustic.  They were totally able to achieve their dream at Peacock Ridge and with the help of Pink Petal Florist.  What I love about this venue is that although it is a barn, it has an elegance and serenity that is unusual at most most other barn venues.  Sunsets at Peacock Ridge are second to none, and it was a necessity to take advantage of Golden Hour to get the bulk of our formal shots.

Lauren and Dan - St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Nicholas Banquet Center | Mogadore Ohio Wedding

Lauren and Dan are not only a strikingly beautiful couple, but they have such a true and sincere love for each other that it shows when you are around them.  This wedding was filled with gorgeous colors and style with so many sentimental details that made their day their own!  Check out the Canoli Cake!!  Here are some of my favorite images!

Anna and Ryan - St Francis De Sales and Peacock Ridge Wedding

Anna and Ryan's wedding was just beautiful.  The ceremony took place at St Francis De Sales Parish in Akron and the reception followed at Peacock Ridge in North Lawrence.  Beautiful gold and blush details were carried throughout the day, from the flowers to the gold vintage teapots at the reception.  My favorite guest would have to be Ruger, Anna and Jason's adorable and sweet German Shepard.  I have to say I love couples who love their dogs and incorporate them into their wedding!  This couple was as sweet as can be and we had a wonderful time capturing your day! Hard to pick our favorite images because there were SO many!

Ashley and Drew - A Sunset Maternity Session in Akron Ohio

I am so excited to share this beautiful maternity session!  You may remember one of my all time favorite couples (Ashley and Drew) from their stunning wedding (click HERE to see).  Three years later (almost to the day), they are preparing to welcome a new member into their family .  I love watching couples become parents and these two are going to make wonderful ones!  We had a beautiful day in the country to shoot this sunset session!

Heidi and Daniel ~ An Acacia Reservation Wedding | Beachwood Ohio

A blind date. These are not typically successful but this one was different.  They both knew when they walked out of Starbucks that night that it wasn't going to end there.  What I find so amazing about Daniel and Heidi's love story is the way their lives were parallel for so many years yet it took that date to finally put them face to face.  They went to the same high school and after they graduated, ended up living in the same neighborhood, neither having a clue the other existed.  As Heidi puts it, "We must have passed each other a hundred times in the hallways of CVCA, or heard each others names in a study hall or during lunch". After high school they both moved away, to different states, but in the summer of 2014 both returned.  Daniel purchased a cute little house in Cuyahoga Falls and Heidi moved in with her parents to finish her classes at KSU which just happened to be a few blocks away!  The funny part is even though they lived so close it took a blind date, arranged by a friend from TEXAS to finally put them in front of each other...and it was magic.  From that point on they were inseparable.

Heidi and Daniel, it was a pleasure to capture your wedding day.  Everything was magical, just like your story.  I wish you the best as you begin your 'Happily Ever After'.

Elle and CJ - A Lifestyle Newborn Session

Everyone knows I love shooting weddings, but once in a while it's nice to mix it up a little!  I had the wonderful opportunity to meet 3 year old Elle this week.  She was very excited to introduce me to her brand new baby brother, CJ.   Elle took such great care of her little brother.  CJ is so lucky to have such a sweet and fun big sister!

Emily and Broc's Sunflower Themed Wedding at Peacock Ridge

I love when I have the opportunity to photograph weddings of people I know.  I have known Emily since she was in high school (I did her prom pictures!) and when she called me last year to ask me to shoot her wedding I was thrilled.  I was even more excited when I found out her wedding venue was Peacock Ridge.  Peacock Ridge has the most amazing backdrop for sunsets and we were able to get some "golden hour" photos that I adore!

They really worked hard to make their wedding special and unique to them.  I loved that their fathers preformed the music for their First Dance.  Emily's father played the keyboard and Broc's father sang and played the guitar.  Beautiful!

One hilarious part of the evening was when the Bride and Groom dressed up as Freddy Krueger and "Jason" for the cutting of the cake.  I'm sure guests won't soon forget seeing Freddy and Jason cut the cake with a machete and a super-sized claw!

Emily and Broc have such a great family and group of friends who made the day full of laughter and wonderful memories.  It was my privilege to be a part of their wedding day!

Abby and Craig's Country Engagement Session

We had such a beautiful night for this engagement session and at such an amazing location!  Abby and Craig will be getting married in September at Peacock Ridge so they wanted something a bit rustic for their engagement session.  Abby used to show Arabian horses so it was wonderful to have access to this stunning white Arabian for our session!    They are such a fun couple and I had a great time with them!  Can't wait until September!

Andrea and Billy's Classic Wedding at Water's Edge in Louisville and Memorial Park in Canton

There were so many beautiful aspects of this wedding that it was difficult to pick photos for a blog post.  Andrea got ready at her childhood home with her closest friends and family around her.  The beautiful ceremony took place at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Canton.  We had plenty of time between the wedding and reception so we took a quick trip to Memorial Park in Canton and got some fun pictures by the monument before heading over to Water's Edge in Louisville for the cocktail hour and reception.

This was the first time for me at Water's Edge and it was lovely.  Beautiful grounds, buildings and a pretty vinyard in the back.   Guests enjoyed a Pigroast at the cocktail reception before moving on to the full reception which was absolutely gorgeous.  It was the perfect backdrop for this elegant wedding.
