Nabil and Megan met in a college art class held at the Cleveland Museum of Art so they decided to go back there for their winter engagement session! It was a beautiful, cold snowy day so we started inside for a few photos and then headed outside to capture some photos in the gorgeous snow! Here are a few favs!
I got a call the week before Christmas from Mitch who wanted to surprise his fiance’ with a Cleveland Engagement session. Mitch and Hannah live in Atlanta but Mitch was raised in Cleveland so giving a nod to his hometown was important to both of them! We had a beautiful day to capture these amazing shots and I’m so thankful they chose me to document such a special time in their lives! Best wishes to you, Mitch and Hannah, as you plan your wedding!
Melanie and Alex met in the United States Air Force. They have traveled all over the world and seen amazing sites, and are currently stationed in Utah. I am thrilled that they chose Canton, Ohio on this beautiful Veteran’s Day weekend, to begin their adventure as Husband and Wife. Their friends and family came from all over to celebrate with them!
Melanie and her Bridesmaids got ready at the Sorrento Villa at Gervasi Vineyard
It was VERY cold and windy, but everyone had an amazing attitude and braved the elements for the sake of their photos! Photos were very important to this couple and because we had a plan in place prior to the wedding, we were able to quickly move through all of the Bridal Party and Bride and Groom photos and I am in love with the results! We started at Monument Park in Canton.
Second on the list was Downtown Canton for these amazing city shots.
Brides always worry about rain on their wedding day and seem surprised when I don’t stress over it. What they don’t realize (and I do), is that rain has a way of bringing out the most vibrant colors…and in October that means that the reds and oranges and greens practically glow with beauty. I also think rain is terribly romantic. Snuggling under an umbrella, what could be sweeter!
This wedding last Saturday at the Westfield Inn in Westfield Center, Ohio was a dream! I absolutely love when we are invited into a family celebration like this one. Family and friends on both sides were so gracious and loving towards each other and it was obvious that they have and will continue to make many beautiful memories together. It was our pleasure to capture these ones. Enjoy a sample of Joe and Caitlin’s wedding <3
Best decision I’ve made for 2019 is including a complementary E-session for all of my weddings. I just love getting to know each couple and working with them before their wedding. Stacey and Joe are so cute. They went to the same high school but never knew each other. They went to different colleges but met when they were both on break! They wanted Golden Hour photos and we had the perfect evening for it! I am so excited for their wedding next August!
Absolutely gorgeous evening for this October Family Session! Is this family not gorgeous? We took a bunch but here are my favorites!
It was a beautiful evening when I met Abigail, Jacob and their adorable Golden Retriever, Chloe. We met at their favorite park, Cascade Valley Metro Park in Akron. They take Chloe walking here all the time and it’s one of their favorite spots. I love when a location has special meaning to a couple and this one was truly beautiful! As I got to know them, I learned that Abigail is a HUGE fan of “Friends” (a girl after my own heart) and Jacob actually proposed to her in New York City in front of the Friends fountain after a carriage ride through the city! Super romantic! Here are a few of my favorites from their session!
Cam and Ashley were friends during college and then one day realized there was something more between them. I truly feel the best marriages begin as friendships so what a great foundation they have to start with!! I adore shooting at new places and this East 4th Engagement Session downtown Cleveland was a first for me. I absolutely love the character this area has. We ended at Edgewater Park and got some beautiful shots with the Cleveland skyline and then finally my favorite…sunset pics! Right on the beach. Love that light! I’m so excited to capture their wedding next June! Here are just a few favs from this stunning session!
I had so much fun photographing this gorgeous family last week at Southgate Park in Green. Fall is finally here and with it the beautiful colors and vibrant light that people LOVE so much! This evening was actually quite cloudy and dark but sometimes that makes for photos like these. I just loved the way Lindyn (3) adores her mom and dad. So much love in this cute family!
I have heard sooo much about this venue…how amazing and beautiful it is and finally I got to see it for myself! So gorgeous! Sitting among rolling Ohio hills with tall grass and wildflowers, The Barn on Enchanted Acres truly lives up to its name. I especially love the outdoor ceremony site which is nestled among tall grass and lush greenery. The flowers were also done by the owner of the venue! Bruce was the most sweet and emotional groom, from the First Look and throughout the entire day. He couldn’t take his eyes off of Ashley and teared up several times! Here are just a few of my favorites!
He proposed to her with a dozen of her favorite yellow roses and that bright sunny color was seen in many details of their wedding. Anyone who spends time with Kris and Beth can see their love for each other. It's adorable the way her face lights up when she sees him and the way he thoughtfully cares for her. Their wedding ceremony took place at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Canton, Ohio and we followed the ceremony with photos at Monument Park and the Art District in downtown Canton. Rain stayed away (barely) and we had a perfect evening followed by the reception at La Pizzaria in Canton. Here are a few of my favorite moments!
Ceremony: St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church | Reception: La Pizzaria | Bridesmaids Dresses: Nordstrom (Show me your MuMu) Bride's Gown: BHLDN (Jenny Yoo) | Bride's Shoes: Badley Mischka | Men's Attire: Ralph Lauren and Perry Ellis | Florals: Nikki's Perfect Petal Design
I absolutely LOVED this Engagement Session with Candice and Jason last week. Meeting right at the beginning of "Golden Hour" is always my goal and this one was so beautiful! I'm so glad they decided to bring their Bernedoodle, "Phoenix" who was super photogenic! We had so much fun getting these shots and he cooperated perfectly! We followed this with some dreamy soft sunset photos and dancing in the fields. Yay! They will be getting married next May at the Glenmoore Country Club in Canton, Ohio.
Sarah and Jesse came from worlds apart. Sarah was in a military family and didn't stay in one place too long. Jesse grew up in a small town with generations of his family close by. Spend a few minutes with them, however, and you know they are a match made in Heaven. They envisioned a beautiful boho-inspired wedding at the rustic Barn and Gazebo in Salem, Ohio. Everything came together beautifully! Check out some of my favorite images from their gorgeous day!
Vendors Who Made This Day Amazing:
Venue: The Barn and Gazebo | Florist: Nikki's Perfect Petal Designs | Cake: Gearhart Custom Cakes | DJ: Brooks Music | Video: Swept Away Video | Bridesmaids Dresses: Revelry | Bride's Gown: Radiant Bride | Groom and Groomsmen Attire: American Commodore Tuxedo
It was one of the hottest days so far this summer when we did Erica and Dave's engagement session! Leo (their Labrodoodle) made an appearance too! Even though it was hot we had a beautiful golden hour right before sunset at Southgate Park in Green, Ohio and Erica and Dave did great! I am thrilled to be shooting their wedding next August at the Barn on Enchanted Acres. The details they are planning already sound gorgeous!!
This was one HOT day but a gorgeous nonetheless. I knew Travis and Britt would be a blast from getting to know them at their engagement session last fall. They had a Navy and Blush color scheme and the touch of rustic style that pulled together beautifully at Occasions Party Centre in New Franklin. I also love the way they made their children a special part of the ceremony. There was so much laughter and smiling through the whole day and it's obvious to see that they will have a fun marriage that will surely last the test of time!
When I sat down with Kate and Ryan for coffee last March, it was hard to imagine the beautiful spring day they would have for their wedding. More than anything, Kate wanted a timeless, classic wedding and The Welshfield Inn provided the perfect backdrop! It was so quaint and so classic! Kate and Ryan decided to do a First Look and for this couple, it was perfect. As we stood back and captured this moment for them from afar, it was hard not to get choked up! Their love for each other is so apparent. Smiles all day and beautiful moments, it was a pleasure to start out my 2018 Wedding Season this way!
A February wedding on a farm in Northeast Ohio can be risky, but Jessica and James had something different in mind. A Sunday morning service with a brunch afterwards. The weather was a little chilly but the light and scenery at Brookside Farm was absolutely lovely, as always. Other awesome vendors who helped make this day Amazing:
